FIBER Festival

▉ ▇ ▆ ▅ Welcome to the creative coding community in Amsterdam!

Creative Coding Amsterdam and FIBER join forces on Sunday May 14 to celebrate the end of the FIBER Festival 2017. We invite you all for the special edition CCA 10111, with the theme of audiovisual creation.
If you went all out at the FIBER Festival party the night before, come have a relaxing drink and chat at this informal meetup and enjoy the presentations. If you missed the rest of the festival, never mind, just come over to get inspired & meet the community!
This event is free and open to everyone, regardless of experience. There will be short talks and demonstrations by audiovisual artists, and lots of opportunity to discuss creative coding informally over drinks.
Special: We close the afternoon with an intimate performance by creative code musicians The Void* (The Void Pointers)

• Short, informal talks by interesting people – like you! We are currently looking for speakers, so let us know if you have something to share. Work in progress is just as welcome as finished projects. Enthusiastic amateurs are just as welcome as professionals. The theme is audiovisual work but we take our themes very broadly. Not sure whether your project would fit? Ask us!
  
• Meet other creative coding enthusiasts and share experiences, or help each-other with nasty bugs.
  
• Drinks are available for a small price.
  
• Presentations will be in English.
  
• The location of this meetup is unfortunately only accessible by stairs. If this might pose a problem for you, please contact the organisation beforehand and we will try our best to make it possible for you to attend.

• Your work – we’d love to see what you’re working on! There is time for demo’s in the breaks so feel free to set one up.
  
• Anything you need to show your work (Laptop, extension cable, connector for the projector…)

Creative coding refers to all creative aspects of computer programming – it can be anything artistic or creative that you make by writing code. Games, visuals, music, robots, interactive installations… anything is possible!

We are a community of people interested in all creative aspects of computer programming. Our events are a place to meet for beginners as well as for advanced users, for professionals as well as people coding just for fun.
