Füsun Türetken (TR/NL)
Füsun Türetken will present in collaboration with Tamar Shafrir, ‘Modern Love’; a conversation for JJJNNN Radio about love in the age of online dating.
Füsun Türetken is a visual artist and architect. She runs Studio ft., a platform that hacks into contemporary conditions of institutions by supporting collaborative work. She is head of Visual Culture and lecturer at Piet Zwart Institute Rotterdam.
BIOGRAPHY
Previously she taught at UCL, London and was director of the German Pavilion at the Architecture Biennale Venice, 2008. She (co-) authored exhibitions and publications exploring various themes, e.g. the contemporary city, ‘Shrinking Cities’, slow violence in „ The Amalgamated Toxicity of Ground Zero”, virtual warfare in „ Cubical Warriors”, power structures, and the role of algorithms and BOTs in „Modern Love”. She is a fellow at Het Nieuwe Instituut, her PhD endeavour at Visual Culture, Goldsmiths London titled „Alchemic Dialogue. On The Most Powerful Catalyst On The Planet“ is a reading of conflict and capital through matter, more precisely metals
